Via Albertini, 36 F13a 60131 Ancona - Italy VAT IT02814410425 TELESCOPIC AWNING SYSTEM On mediume sized yachts, we may have storage problems, due to the length of the poles, with tubes longer than 170/180 cm. To overcome this issue, we conceived and manufactured a new kind of carbon pole: a telescopic pole. The telescopic awning pole consists of 2 carbon tubes, sliding one inside the other, led by Delrin bushings. When retracted the length is about 140 cm, and when deployed, it is 210 or 220 cm, depending on the size of the tube. The larger tube get installed on the standard deck base, fixed on the deck. The smaller tube slides inside. To deploy the pole, you have to turn 90° right (or left) the inner tube and extend it up to the top and then turn 90° back until it sits into place. The fittings and hardware are the same of the standard awning poles, with 2:1 or 4:1 tackle and low friction rings. The awning is made by mesh fabric, type Soltis 86®. Per ovviare ai problemi di stivaggio che a volte sorgono su imbarcazioni di medie dimensioni, con pali di lunghezza superiore a 170/180 cm, abbiamo ideato e realizzato una nuova serie di pali per tende, di tipo telescopico. Il palo telescopico è costituito da due tubi in carbonio, che scorrono uno dentro l’altro, guidati da boccole in Delrin. La lunghezza complessiva a riposo è di circa 140 cm, la lunghezza totale con il palo esteso arriva fino a 220 cm. Il tubo di diametro maggiore viene montato sulla coperta tramite la base standard, il tubo di diametro minore scorre all’interno: per estenderlo e portarlo in posizione di lavoro va ruotato di 90° verso destra (o sinistra) e va allungato fino alla massima posizione, quindi va ruotato al contrario e si posiziona in battuta.
